Black Gap Alterna Adult female, heterozygous for hypomelanism. A wonderful, soft dove-gray alterna with single alternates and some orange bleaching. The black banding on this snake is not quite the normal deep black on close inspection - a condition that was seen as merely interesting until she proved to be heterozygous for hypomelanism. |
