Black Gap Alterna Hypomelanistic juvenile hatching. The extreme color variability of Black Gap alterna translates into gorgeous hypomelanistic coloration as well. In general, I find hypomelanistic snakes more attractive and interesting than full albinos because the dilution of dark pigmentation is incomplete. Because of the reduction of dark skin pigmentation, the pigmented eyeballs of this snake can be seen through the skull and tissues. |
