Black Gap Alterna Adult. There really are no hard fast rules for identifying Black Gap alterna - signature features aside, there occur plenty of individuals that defy pigeon holing and appear as "from anywhere" alterna. Note the almost complete lack of white edging next to the black on this snake. More than anything else, this snake is a near dead ringer for the oddball ornate Langtrys bred by Craig Hodgson in the 1990s. |
