VRHD - Winter Phase and Summer Phase Young adults. At this point in their development these VRHD are aggressively coloring up. Unlike so many reptile projects where the juveniles are strikingly colored and then acquire more somber tones with increased size and age, VRHD colors intensify as size and age increase with the largest animals being the most intensely colored. Winter phase reach a sort of plateau where further changes are more difficult to measure once adult size is reached. |
