VRHD - Winter Phase vs Winter Phase This is an example of the approximate range of hypomelanism exhibited by VRHD. The specimen on the right displays about as much melanin as we have seen to date on one of these animals. All Winter Phase produced thus far have at least some degree of pale or lemon yellow on the lower 25% of the body. A distinctly bi-colored animal should be achievable.
